The wonderful Hilldale Fair & Fun Dog Show
Each year, in May, we run the Hilldale Fair in the Hilldale Playing Field.
Hilldale Fair will be on Saturday - To Be Advised.
In 2019, the main event of the afternoon was the crowning of the Hilldale Rose Queen, Sylvie Dickinson.

After parading around the Field with her retinue and the Red Admirals Brass Band, Sylvie was crowned by Councillor May Blake.
The Programme for the day was:
- 1:00 pm - Registration for The Fun Dog Show started
- 1:00 pm - The Rose Queen's Parade around the Hilldale Playing Field led by the Red Admirals Brass Band.
- 1:15 pm - Crowning of the Rose Queen
- 1:30 pm - Opening of the Fair
- 3:30 pm - the famous Hilldale Fair Raffle
As well as the Red Admirals Brass Band we will also be entertained by the Mucky Mountain Morris Dancers.
There were lots of stalls ranging from cakes to tombola - all good fun.
In the Village Hall we served wonderful Cream Teas and in the car park there was the BBQ - burgers, sausages, chips etc. All of the food is sourced locally and is really good.
The Hilldale Fun Dog Show is always a popular event and our thanks to Sarah Glover and her team who organise and arrange it all.
Stalls: It's never too late to book a stall for 2020 - TBA - so if you want a stall, please email us at stalls@hilldale-ca.org or send a message through our Contacts page.
Prizes wanted: Please donate prizes for the raffle and the tombola. If you can help, let us know using stalls@hilldale-ca.org and we'll arrange to collect or let you know where to drop them off.
Volunteers wanted:
Please think about helping at the Fair. With a few more helping hands we could do so much more. We could have some more stalls - perhaps Wellie wanging or Hoop-la, stocks, skittles, treasure hunt ; we could have sports; we could do lots of things but we can't do them without more help.
Watch out for further announcements in the Newsletters and this website.
