Welcome to the Hilldale Community Association website
The Hilldale Community Association was founded in 2003 to promote our community spirit and to bring the people of Hilldale together. We run the annual Hilldale Fair and the Fun Dog Show as well as other events from time to time. We also use our funds to improve the village amenities.
Hilldale is a rural community in West Lancashire [in the UK] which has about 300 homes, a pub, several businesses and several farms.
Coffee Mornings are back!
3rd July - an important date for your calendar. All being well, we will hold a Coffee Morning on 3rd July. Doors open at 10:30 and we'll be serving bacon and/or sausage barms or sandwiches; cakes, coffee, tea and soft drinks. Join the community - come along to the Hilldale Coffee Morning on 3rd July!
3rd July - NHS Big Tea event - This will be a part of our Coffee Morning and we'll be asking for donations to the HNS Charities. See: https://www.nhscharitiestogether.co.uk/nhs-big-tea/ for more details.
COVID-19
COVID is a fact of life and there's no clear end in sight but, as soon as practicable, and legal, the HCA will re-start activities.
Remember, IF YOU NEED HELP and you live in Hilldale, ASK for HELP.
Local businesses - please support all of our local businesses.
AmazonSmile.
We have recently signed up to Amazon Smile to help with fund raising. If you use AmazonSmile for just some of your purchases you'll be helping the HCA to raise funds for projects around the Village.
We will be helping the Parish Council with a donation of £1,000 to re-furbish / replace equipment in the Playing Field so every contribution helps.
Who knows, we may be able to arrange events in 2021 as well. Fingers Crossed.
DOG POO
Not a pleasant topic but unfortunately topical as there seems to be more of it about in Hilldale.
It’s very unpleasant to step onto dog poo and it’s a health hazard.
It’s unacceptable – and illegal – not to pick up after your dog. Just do it, please, for the benefit of us all.
PLEASE do not post images of your dog poo finds on our Facebook page. The HCA is a voluntary community association and does not have any powers or the resources to police this matter.
It's up to everyone to pick up after their own dog and, when they see dog fouling taking place, to report it to West Lancs B.C HERE
The website will be updated from time to time with news about Events, the latest Newsletter, Links to local schools and other local organisations and Photos of Hilldale.
If you live in Hilldale or have lived here in the past, please visit the website from time to time to see what we are up to.

THE HCA REALLY NEEDS YOU.
Please support the HCA.
If you have ideas about what the HCA does or how it is run or events - get involved.
Unless more residents become involved on a regular basis, the HCA will wither on the vine and then there won't be any events.
So, PLEASE support the HCA by becoming regularly involved.
Yes, we have meetings - we couldn't organise "things" without them - but they are informal and we try to keep them as short as possible.
Want to help? Then email us at hello@hilldale-ca.org or text to 07957135961.
DONATE TO THE HCA, please
Fund raising is a priority so that we can hold the Coffee Mornings, arrange entertainment evenings, run the Hilldale Fair and carry out small community projects.
We only survive on grants and those are increasingly difficult to secure.
You can donate by BACS - the details are here - or by cheque payable to Hilldale Community Association or in cash by coming to an event.
